With the announcement that Tanzania is OFF the UK's red list for travel, this means that we are going back to the top of Africa's highest mountain once again! We’ve missed it! That's why we're going to celebrate the dawn of a new positive era by organising a special trip over the festive period, timed to welcome in the New Year from the 5,895 metre summit. 

Places are limited on the climb, and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If you'd like to be apart of this memorable adventure to the summit of Kilimanjaro, then please read the info below before registering!

We're very keen to go ahead with this trip on the fantastic Lemosho Route, and there's a extra hotel day included before the climb to give you time to explore Moshi and the surrounding area, with an optional one day safari available. This really will be a New Year’s Day to remember, and we'll celebrate once we're down! So - let us know if you're keen to join us!

Need to know...

Testing & vaccines

  • You’ll need to have a negative Covid PCR test within 96 hours of departure for Tanzania

  • If you are double-vaccinated for Covid-19, you will not need to quarantine on arrival back in teh UK. If you are not vaccinated, you will need to quarantine at your own cost on arrival back in the UK - please consider this before booking.

Will my travel insurance cover me for COVID?

  • We strongly recomend taking out travel insurance after booking.
  • Please ensure that any policy you take out is adequate for your trip (for example, includes trekking at altitude if appropriate). If your policy is not suitable, you may need to take out another one, at extra cost.
  • All policies should include cancellation and curtailment cover, which means that if you or your travel companion/s or close relatives are diagnosed with COVID-19 and are forced to self-isolate, you will be covered if you are unable to travel or have to cut your trip short. We cannot emphasise enough the importance of having insurance with this kind of cover at this time.

Payment & fundraising

  • Due to the proximity of the departure date, we will require payment in full for your place.

  • Due to the timelines of this event, we are unable to offer charity sponsorship or mixed-funding as payment methods for this climb. You are, however, most welcome to fundraise for a charity of your choice independently.

  • The per person prices are: 

    Flights included: £3,295
    Land Only: £2,390

Cancellations

  • If you need to cancel, due to receiving a positive Covid-19 test result, you will need to claim on your travel insurance.

  • If you are unable to take part for any other reason,  you will need to ensure you have adequate travel insurance in place.
